Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. (NYSE: CRL) today reported its results for the third quarter and first nine months of 2008. For the quarter, net sales increased 9.0% to $342.2 million from $314.0 million in the third quarter of 2007. The Research Models and Services (RMS) segment reported very strong sales growth, partially offset by slower growth in the Preclinical Services (PCS) segment. Foreign exchange contributed 1.5% to the net sales growth.

The Senior Auditor will perform financial, accounting and operational auditing duties of a complex nature requiring advanced professional knowledge and experience in auditing principles and practices. Investigate irregularities and recommend corrective measures.
Perform laboratory techniques on studies of moderate complexity. Exercise judgment within defined Standard Operating Procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Supervise and coordinate study-related activities of research technical staff to ensure compliance with the protocol and applicable SOPs, and maintain the raw data for nonclinical studies.
The Senior Sales Representative will represent Charles River’s product line of endotoxin and microbial detection products. The representative is responsible for contacting established customers and developing new prospects for an innovative and expanding product line. The representative will manage the lower Midwest territory consisting of TX, OK, MO, KS, LA, NE and AL. The representative will be required to maintain an aggressive territory sales plan in which he/she will apply marketing and sales skills to meeting goals.
